N2 - A direct converter to connect two DC voltage sources and AC motors is investigated in this paper. The circuit configuration is available to save the more regenerative brake energy with usage of Electro Double Layer Capacitors (EDLCs) in the dc power fed railway vehicles. A PWM method in the higher motor frequency range is proposed and is verified by numerical simulation results.
