Though many motion interfaces have been proposed till now, most of them are based on the handle manipulation such as a mouse and a joystick. With these interfaces, users must concentrate on handling. We propose a new interface 'plate' there a user can show any direction simply by shifting his/her body. The center of gravity is measured by four strain-gage elements bonded under the plate. As a primary evaluation of this interface, we made an experimental system to connect the plate to mouse interface and examined the behaviors of novice users. As the second step of the development we implemented the plate on the omni-directional vehicle to make an active motion system.
