N2 - This paper proposes a centralized resource allocation method to alleviate the problem of intercell interference for multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) capable wireless LANs. In this method, the control engine connected to all access points (APs) predicts the system throughput considering intercell interference by using the number of detectable APs and users, which allocates users for APs to achieve the highest throughput. After conducting AP selection, each AP adopts semi-orthogonal user selection (SUS) as user scheduling to improve MU-MIMO performance. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated using computer simulations in comparison with the traditional maximum received-signalstrength-indicator-based (RSSI-based) AP selection using random user scheduling.
