Comparing Augmented Reality-based Display Methods to Present Guiding Information

In recent years, a variety of Augmented Reality (AR) contents have emerged, and it will not be long before we get to use AR devices like a head-mounted display (HMD), or glasses in our daily lives. With such AR devices, we receive a lot of information from them, especially in outdoor situations. In order to find the best way to display virtual contents, in this study, we compare two methods: the "canvas-fixed"method and the "screen-fixed"method with experiments by simulating AR situations in a virtual reality (VR) world, and we discuss the opportunities of the methods.
