Correction to: Periosteum-Mimetic Structures Made from Freestanding Microgrooved Nanosheets (Advanced Materials, (2014), 26, 20, (3290-3296), 10.1002/adma.201305804)

Concerns were raised by a third party regarding overlapping image panels within the article (Figure 4a, Runx2/Cbfa-1 Flat nanosheet and Type I Collagen Ti panels). The authors acknowledged the image compilation error, yet, due to the elapsed time since publication, the original data were no longer available. The authors repeated the experiment under the same conditions, but used different secondary antibodies for Runx2/Cbfa-1and SPARC. The new data confirmed the original conclusion: cells cultured on microgrooved nanosheet-covered titanium blocks express higher levels of Runx2/Cbfa-1 and SPARC compared to the controls. This correction does not affect the statistical analyses or the overall conclusions of the study. The authors apologize for the oversight and any confusion it may have caused. The corrected Figure 4a is provided below: Figure 4. a) Immunofluorescent (nuclei were stained with DAPI) and calcium staining (scale bars: 50 µm) of stem cells cultured on microgrooved PLGA nanosheet-covering titanium blocks, flat PLGA nanosheets-covering titanium blocks, and bare titanium blocks for 14 days.
