In order to support the co-creative activity, it is required to establish a communication media with which all participants can share a co-exciting feeling and a co-sharing of context can be promoted. To meet this requirement and attain a design guideline for it, we have investigated how the internally created time and space are co-shared among individuals, specifically aiming at the timing (or Ma). In the present study, we hypothesized that the timing can be expressed through the bodily action and constructed a Kendo match simulation system. Any anticipations of the opponent on instantenous changes in motion and position of Kendo robot (which is considered as an agent) were attempted to express on the dynamic motion of hand which is operating the controller. Changes in respiratory action and electromyogram during the controller operation were also measured. As a result, it was indicated that the mutual entrainment of unconsciously happening prior action played an important role for creating the timing. This was found from the Kendo match on a real space. It was also suggested that a spatial distance (Maai) between robots showed a possibility to change by creation destruction of coherence of the prior action. Furthermore, from the second experiment using the remote Kendo robot match on a displayed image, the co-sharing of the timing (or Maai) can be supported by sending physical signals, which are not related to your consciousness, to your opponent. From the above, it is speculated that anticipations at both conscious and unconscious levels are related complementarily to creating the timing.
