N2 - For factory plant piping, water pipelines, gas pipelines and the like, steel pipes are normally used. On the other hand, for sewer pipelines, ceramic pipes, Hume pipes (made of concrete) and PVC pipes (plastic) are generally used. The robots developed to inspect the condition of the pipelines capture the status of the inside of the pipes by the camera installed in them and transmit the image data to a base station that is placed in the tube inlet by a wireless communication system. In the last chapter, we have explained that for this system to communicate efficiently, in a steel pipe, a maximum of 100 m distance between the base stations and the robot has to be maintained for the diameter of the pipes between 20 and 40 cm. The transmission rate of the wireless communication should also be more than 10 Mbps. To meet these requirements, the wireless LAN of 2.4 GHz or 5.2 GHz should be used.
