We would like to express our gratitude to all members of the ATF group for ATF operation. In designing the off-axis parabolic mirror, we are extensively discussing with Dr. I. Ben Zvi, Dr. I. Pogorelski, of BNL, and Dr. A. Tsunemi of SHI. We also would like to thank Mr. T. Kobuki and Mr. T. Ohshima of Waseda university for their contribution to the design study. This research is partially supported by a Research Fund of KEK for Cooperative Developments, a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B)11554010, (A)11694092, (C)10640294 and a research program of US–Japan Cooperation in the Field of High-Energy Physics.

N2 - We have proposed a new method of generating highly polarized positrons through Compton scattering of polarized laser lights off relativistic electron beams and successive pair creation. To realize high-luminosity laser-electron collisions, we constructed a specially designed chamber which equips off-axis parabolic mirrors with a through hole at the center. This mirror achieves strong focusing of laser lights as well as head-on collisions of laser lights with e- beams, so that the luminosity can be significantly increased. A polarimeter is designed for the measurement of positron polarization.
