We have created a strategy in which hybridized-target DNA is not only detected but also transported using DNA-microtubules (MTs) conjugates and kinesin motor proteins. This technique is capable of collecting target biomolecules toward one point site. We have confirmed selective hybridization to target fully matched DNA and transport ability of DNA on the kinesin-coated substrate using the present DNA-conjugated MTs. By combining a technique to control the direction of MTs movement, this new system of selective detection and transport of DNA would be explored as a method for enrichment of DNA and DNA-affinity molecules.
