title = "Efficient addressable fluid control system using pneumatic valve array",
abstract = "An efficient control method of a large number of valves is proposed. This method can control (m * n) valve matrix with (m + n) control pressure lines. With this method, the number of off-chip valve controller and world-to-chip connector are reduced remarkably. Using a fabricated device of 16 * 16 microvalve array, 256 valves controlled by 32 off-chip valve successfully. The switching speed of the valves in a selected line is 200 msec.",
