K-Ar and Rb-Sr age determinations were carried out on the granitic rocks recently found in the Todai Tectonic Zone, Aokuzure pass area, central Japan. The granitic rocks, newly named Hyokoshi Granite, are composed of muscovite-biotite tonalite and granodiorite with a small body of quartz diorite. The results of age, initial ratio and the occurrence of the granitic rocks suggest that the Hyokoshi Granite is correlative to the Kinshozan Granite which occurs as allochthonous bodies (klippes) in the Mikabu belt in Kanto Region and to the granitic clasts in the Usuginu conglomerate in South Kitakami and Kurosegawa belts. -from English summary
