A grooved, monoblock comb-line filter has been developed. By putting the grooves on the outer surfaces of the dielectric block, the second passband is shifted to a higher frequency than the third harmonic. This filter is very effective for suppressing third harmonics, and the grooves are effective for interresonator coupling. Because of its small size, this filter is useful for mobile communication.
