N2 - In this introduction, we briefly explain the goal of the predictive processing (PP) framework, and the objective of this volume. Basically, what distinguishes this volume from others on PP is that here we will focus on conscious experiences. This volume is divided into two parts: Part I is about how PP can explain varieties of experiences, including hypnotic responses, psychosis, and object recognition, while Part II touches on related theoretical issues, including those about realism, instrumentalism, and epistemic justification.
