N2 - In this paper, we investigate the reasons for the embarrassment that Japanese people feel when using voice inputs in public and propose a way to reduce it. Recently, multiple devices have added a voice input function. However, few people use voice input even in situations where using voice input would be better. We first investigate the reasons why Japanese people do not use voice inputs even when they can, and it becomes clear that many people feel embarrassment at speaking out. After the investigation, we conduct an experiment to compare the embarrassment caused by using voice input when the target of voice input is an inorganic machine compared to when it is a biological character. In the experiment, we conclude that a user's emotion can be altered by using an animal-like character as the target of voice commands.
