title = "Logic operation in DNA nano device: Electrical input/output through biological nanopore",
abstract = "This paper describes DNA logic gates with using biological nanopores integrated in the lipid-coated droplet networks. As the biological nanopore, alpha-hemolysin (αHL) is reconstituted in droplet interface bilayers (DIBs) which can be prepared with splitting and re-attaching the lipid monolayers by mechanical motion in split-and-contact device; SCD. Since DIBs can be instantly formed by SCD, we can use the rupture of DIBs to transfer DNA between droplets as inputs for logic operation. In this study, we demonstrated OR and NOT gates using this input system with SCD. The rapid and repeated calculation can be performed in this system.",
