N2 - Size dependent passive droplet sorting using on-rail droplet transfer was presented in this research. Cascade channels employing line-rails and dot-rails provided multiple and repeatable droplet sorting. The line-rails allowed droplet transfer and dimensions of the rails determined transferable size of the droplet. Furthermore, the dot-rail resolved a critical problem that transferred droplets lost their shape on the new rail and they couldn't be transferred again. The dot-rail recovered the droplets original round shape, so the droplets can be sorted again. By the repeatable and multi-stage transfer, wide range and precise droplet sorting was possible.
