N2 - Dynamic approaches to log monitoring require adaptive/incremental parsing methodology to extract meaningful features from complex, evolving data. In this preliminary study, a systematic literature review of online/incremental log parsing research is performed. An inventory of methods is taken, gaps in current research are explored, and suggestions are made for future studies.
