N2 - A personal coordination server is con tained in our personal devices suc h as a wrist w atch and a mobile phone. It allows a user to control various information appliances near him/her spontaneously. The personalization framework in a personal coodination server customizes their control according to a user's preferences. Each preference is encoded in an everyday artefact, and the registration of the preference to a user's personal coordination server occurs automatically by closing or attaching the everyday artefact to his/her personal coordination server. Our personalization framework offers several ways to personalize the services of a personal coordination server by using the everyday artefact.
