The coherence of electrons emitted from tungsten tips at room temperature was evaluated quantitatively using multiwalled carbon nanotubes. The incoming electron wave was divided into two partial waves by the filaments. The degree of coherence of waves was determined by their source. The increase of the transverse coherence length of the electron beam demonstrated the direct relationship between the coherences of the electron beam and the original electronic states.
