N2 - Specific chemical product separation from organic micro droplets was achieved using single-micro-droplets (S-MDs) generation device. Organic S-MDs were generated using a micro flow device consisting of a mother-droplet (MoD) generation part with a tapered separation channel and multi-branch channels. Since the tapered channel enhances shear force to form tails from MoDs and break up, surfactant free S-MD generation was achieved. S-MDs contain only compounds distributed around the MoD interface with the continuous phase; this enabled the selective extraction of these compounds. In this study, copper rich products were selectively separated from ligand and copper acetate induced methanol MoDs.
