Single cell encapsulated microdroplet formation using tip-streaming and deterministic lateral displacement

抄録

This research is study for passive single cell encapsulated droplet formation. E.coli substituted 6 μm micro beads were encapsulated to sub-micron droplets while microdroplets of different size were generated depending on the encapsulation by tip-streaming phenomenon. For the formation of tip streaming and single cell encapsulation, chemical and physical assistant was utilized. Approximately 80% of single cell encapsulated droplets were selectively collected by deterministic lateral displasement (DLD) structure.
