N2 - A series of statistically planned fatigue tests was conducted to furnish the requested basic data on the statistical fatigue properties of materials most commonly used in mechanical industries. The results on various heat-treated steels has already been compiled in the earlier papers with the primary test data, and are supplemented in this paper with the results on aluminum alloys. Two representative types of aluminum alloys, A5083 and A7075, were selected and examined in rotating bending fatigue tests at room temperature under various conditions, namely, A5083-F, A5083-O, and A7075-T6 with smooth and notched specimens. The examination of the acquired data revealed that the statistical fatigue properties of these alloys were fairly different from those of steels.
