N2 - The detailed features of the structural disorder in superconducting oxides with T*-structure, Nd{single bond}Ce{single bond}Sr{single bond}Cu{single bond}O and La{single bond}Sm{single bond}Sr{single bond}Cu{single bond}O, have been investigated as diffuse scattering observed in electron diffraction patterns. There exist three types of characteristic diffuse scatterings: cylindrical-shape, spike-shape, and spotty scatterings in (Nd0.8-xCexSr0.2)2CuOz with the T*-structure while only a cylindrical-shape scattering exists in (La0.9-xSmxSr0.1)2CuOz with the T*-structure. This scattering in (La0.9-xSmxSr0.1)2CuOz has the same features as that observed as the cylindrical-shape scattering in (Nd0.8-xCexSr0.2)2CuOz.
