A technique to apply the deconvolution technique in the reconstruction of a CT image with the translate-rotate scan has been developed. In this technique, the d-dependent point spread function (PSF) is obtained first in a measurement or a computer simulation of light scattering. Then, it is applied to the CT image degraded by the scattering effect. The dependence of a PSF on the depth was investigated in a measurement. The computer simulation was conducted to examine the effectiveness of this technique. For the reconstruction, a conventional filtered backpropagation (FPB) technique was used.
