Influence of horizontal loading on the fire resistance of wood/soil wall qualified as Quasi-fireproof Construction is verified against loaded fire tests after racking tests with maximum deformation angles, 1/100 and 1/50 radians, by comparing with fire test without racking test. It resulted in virtually no reduction of the fire resistance by the maximum deformation angle 1/100 radians, normally assumed for the seismic design of low-rise wooden buildings, and 5% reduction by the maximum deformation angle 1/50 radians, showing better robustness of the fire resistance against earthquake than popular modern wooden constructions.
