N2 - This paper proposes a framework to ease the workload of preparation for interpreters through quick and efficient discovery of relevant material. We describe a software architecture and present arguments why this combination of components and functionalities will result in an ideal assignment preparation tool for interpreters, which they currently are lacking. We draw from the rich professional experience from interpretation experts and teaching staff gathered through interviews and feedback over an extended period of time. We use this experience to add functionalities to enrich, share, and store data; anywhere, be it at home, or on a mobile device while on the go. This results in a multimodal, flexible, easy to use, mobile-ready Web application. The framework allows for incremental extension, export and import of the data collection, keeping in mind accessibility, mobility, interoperability, reusability, and sustainability.
